yeah. With bminer 14 it’s more convenient to mine c29 with 1080ti now
Minerbabe is good for eazy use. But I would like to be in full control.
But I help where I can. And I still think minerbabe is a good product for a lot of people. So I have 1 mining rig running on minerbabe. So I will help the team to improve the product. If they find something that is currently better I will switch.
But 3% fee… It’s too much.
From what I see, the RX 580 ( or 480 ) - 4GB Versions are NOT on the list. Although 470/570 and even 550/560 are on the list.
Can someone confirm that 580 4GB doesn’t work or it just haven’t been tested yet?
I have a bunch of 4GB 580s and I’d like to try it out
@jie I’m losing a full gps, hash rate between the miner and the pool. Too many Shares rejected cause of low difficuties. Something wrong with the kbminer? I’m using grinmint.com as the pool.
Running 12 Vega FEs, 0.41 gps per FEs.
I can confirm RX580 4GB working fine - I’m getting around 0.73 GPS per card but pretty undervolted. Im using Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ 4GB ( Samsung ) - with a eye-watering 65W per card - measured at the wall - which is not that bad.
I want to try mining ETH with MinerBabe to see how that works but I can’t get the OS to switch to ETH mining. I’ve created a ETH Group, set as Default, restarted the RIG but nothing, it will keep mining GRIN. I don’t want to completely delete the GRIN Group - there has to be another way
Don’t use Grinmint with KBminer. Use Spark.
From Grinmint support:
Two things:
1 - Minerbabe kbminer does not support minimal difficulty. This is why you see a lot of rejected share due to low difficulty.
2 - Looking at your dashboard you sent 78 shares in the last hour which equal to 78442/3600 = 3.64 GPS. The calculation is right on our side. Also see FAQ last question https://www.grinmint.com/pages/faq.html.
Can’t get Ubuntu on my rig, grub efi installer issue. Can’t use ethmonitoring thumbdrive, won’t boot. Minerbabe is the only booting from my Asus B250 Mining Expert MB. I’ll look into the UEFI issue next weekend again.
hi. I have problem with minerbabe, it show DRI2 FAILED TO AUTHENTICATE . any suggestion to solve this problem?
Has the mining started? If yes then just forget about this message.
mining has not started… something wrong I guess…
is it possible because I use 16 GB USB ? before I got this error I used 256 GB USB and everything works good.
16 Gb is more than enough. Try to flash v4.11 Minerbabe. Try another pool or another server of the same pool. I had some issues with EU server at Grinmint pool, but on US server everything was OK.
Hello,
I tryied everything and i always got this :
Can you help ?
I tryied to ip fix, but same problem.
Also if i want to use dhcp may i delete the ip file or something else ?
Obviously there’s a problem with internet connection. How do you configure your IP text file? Leave it as is for DHCP. Try to insert another Ethernet adapter (may be even USB version) in this computer. Probably Minerbabe can’t work with your exact model of ethernet adapter…
understood thank you, i will try this
Set the conf file /rig_info/ip.txt each line to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, and reboot the machine.
Apparently I am also having problems with “rejected shares due to low difficulty”.
Both on my Rig and on my main PC ( i7 7700k, 32GB DDR4 ) - same issue. Using RX580 4GB - GrinMint EU with KBMiner ( Bminer doesn’t work for some reason ) - Dashboard reports everything working fine, but the pool reported HashRate was is a lot smaller - so upon investigation, I saw most of my shares being rejected when looking into the OS. I see GRINMINT has answered it’s the KBMiner’s fault. What can we do in this situation ?
Please ignore this log, this is normal.
Doesn’t work, can it be related to motherboard ? it is a Z270-a-pro
- Create a new group of ETH.
- Select the rigs you want to mining ETH in rig list.
- Click ‘Group config’ and select that group.
