Bminer 15.7.6 Fix Cuckaroo29d on RTX-series cards

My 1070s are working fine, but apparently the 2070s have less available ram and aren’t working on c31 15.0.0 on ubuntu, as bminer seems to consume 8061MiB but the 2070s only have 7952MiB available.

How do you guys get a .sh script using ‘screen’ starting at system boot up?

Rabinovitch, I’m a support and beta tester for PiMP (Portable Instant Mining Platform) mining OS which uses Ubuntu 18.04. I’ve tested my 1070’s on c31 with Bminer version 15 and it works! Once all tests complete the new release will be released to mainstream PiMP users shortly, and you only need to configure one line in the bminer config file for it to work  - If your struggling or what to try it out please feel free as once your up and running saves loads of time, and a active community too!! - https://getpimp.org/

On Bminer version 15, has anyone noticed a big difference (depending on cpu they have that is) when setting the " -intensity" value between 0 and 12, if they get better hashrate rate / more coin’s, thank you. I’m testing on a Intel Pentium G4400 at -intensity 8 and can only see a slight hashrate increase, hence my asking the community hear

I also note, as someone else mentioned that for 8GB nvidia card’s the hashrate will drop if one of the card’s has less then under 8GB of memory, and if another card has over 8GB of memory then hashrate will increase slightly. Might be something Bminer development team can do to remedy this possible?

I also am experiencing the same bcrypt.dll crash immediately after start up

C29
Windows 10 64 bit
72GB virtual memory
8GB Ram
2 X p106-100
2 X GTX 1060
1 X GTX 1070
1 X GTX 1080Ti

Working perfectly under bminer 14.x

please advise

thank you

I’m getting appdata.dll errors on 15.0

On 14.3.1 it’s saying insufficient memory on c31.

Windows 10 1080ti

We are working on fix the bcrypt.dll error, it will be fixed soon. please stay tuned.

I was not able to start BMiner 15 on a rig with 5 1080s and 1 1070. Not enough memory (Win7). The pagefile is 52 Gb (or even more).

Rabinovitch, Windows 10 (and probably includes Windows 7) no supported by Bminer. This is a quote from the download page of Bminer’s website:-
" 15.0.0 (Current)

  • Support 8G cards for Cuckatoo31 (except for Windows 10).
  • Improve stability of the Cuckatoo31 solver."

You need to use a Linux Mining OS, like PiMP (Portable Instant Mining Plateform): https://getpimp.org/ - which will have support for Bminer version 15 in the coming days, it’s being tested right now, as I’m part of the support and beta.

Hope this helps,
Best,
Louis

Thanks for obvious advice, but 1) I like Win7, and 2) I prefer Ubuntu if I forced to use GNU/Linux.

Fully understand Rabinovitch re you prefer Windows, though PiMP OS is built on Ubuntu 18.04, so you can always use the keyboard / mouse / and monitor to use the GUI which makes it more in line with Windows, it’s a little different but as a fellow Windows user makes all the difference not having to use the command line

We’re pleased to release Bminer 15.1.0. The release provides:

  • Improve performance of Cuckaroo29 / Cuckatoo31.
  • Experimental support Cuckaroo29 on AMD cards (ROCM only)
  • Improve compatibility on Windows.
  • Fix the regression on UI dashboard.

Download Bminer15.1.0

Many thanks indeed realbminer for update re new release. I’ve just installed it and now testing it on my 1070’s using PiMP OS.
Re AMD support is that for 8GB card’s only or 4GB’s too?

Kind regards,
Louis

Seems that there is about 6% higher hashrate on 2080Ti.

Hello josevora,
Yes, I received a similar error too :frowning:

Hello how to instal ROCm for my vegas? and how to configurate Bminer 15.1.0?

Hi All,

I have an ETH rig that I’m converting to Grin. I have AMD R9-290 cards with 4 GB of Memory. Is Minerbabe the only OS that supports these cards? It seems like every other miner needs at least 6-8 GB mem. I got Minerbabe running, but hashrate is zero, even though it sees my cards. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Looks like 15.1.0 reduces rates on GTX 1070 Ti and GTX 1060 cards.
Rolled back to 15.0.2
