The coins were not returned after the transaction was cancelled

Now I try to send 10 coins, the same way! So what happened.

If I had to guess, the tor failed during the send so it resulted in a slatepack but gate io doesn’t accept slatepack. I still can’t understand why the tx kernsl doesn’t show up on grin block explorer though… hmm

The simplest way is to use the same method to send the coins to another wallet of your own, and then see if the other wallet has received the coins. Then you will know whether it is a GATE problem or other problems.

I think this could be related to the following issue: Canceling a transaction may result in an incorrect wallet balance ¡ Issue #739 ¡ mimblewimble/grin-wallet ¡ GitHub

My guess is that you already had an incorrect wallet balance when you sent the coins. You didn’t have those 9000 coins actually, that was just an incorrect balance. So next time you send a transaction, the wallet repaired itself.

I understand it sounds weird, but anyone can play with above bug and see what’s happening.

I think you’re right Bruges. There is no “received 9000 grin” on his repaired wallet. Looks like he did a bunch of cancels lol I bet @Renatsa really thought he was making free grin coin outta thin air. Lol these lil’hackers be tryna exploit wallet functionality hehehe
