Okay no worries, I have figured out that despite the error message the withdrawal works. However, this message (that appears everytime you withdraw funds is weird).
I have to say that this issue with Mygrin web wallet is still manageable, a lot more than issues I experience from exchanges when I try to send Grin on cold wallets. Actually, Mygrin web wallet is the only wallet I know as a good gateway to withdraw the Grin out of some exchanges to deposit them on cold wallets.
Be careful, it is not an opensource wallet, meaning that nobody can see and look at the code to assess whether the creator has introduced backdoor (steal your money) or not
It’s worse than that. It’s a custodial wallet. You’re handing over your private keys and access your stuff with a username and password, as you do with exchanges.
some days ago i withdrew grin from poloniex-exchange directly to my grin++ - wallet. It worked just fine.
The grin++ - wallet creates a temporary http(s)-address that can be used to transfer the grin to the wallet. Its really easy to use. Maybe you should give it a try.
Niffler-Wallet seems to be also a reliable and easy to use choice for transactions via http(s), though i don’t have any experience with it.
In fact, I am on it this afternoon. The only difficulty is the time needed for the exchange to make the transaction (it can be up to 24 hours) and as you know, both your exchange wallet and Grinplusplus need to be online for the transaction to be done…
and the transaction failed… Let’s try again. I feel worried for all Grin holders who keep their coins on exchanges because of these kind of issues
What exchange is this? And it should not take 24 hours, the first confirmation should take a matter of minutes.

Thank you for your opinion.
The exchange is Bitforex…
24 hours is unacceptable. The address Grin++ generates, for example, is only valid for 8 hours. Any connection disruption along the way can cause you to lose that address as well. Exchanges should not take more than a few minutes to execute the withdrawal, and if they do take longer, they’re setting themselves up for an unnecessarily high number of support emails.
The transaction failed again and this time the support of the exchange sent an email to say that the wallet (Grinplusplus) was offline.
I have left both wallets online during the all night but because it takes hours for the exchange to process the transaction the deposit address from Grinplusplus is no longer functional.
Eventually, I have been in touch with the support team of the exchange in live to try 2 more times to process the transaction, by sending them a screen copy of the “running” status of the Grinplusplus wallet.
Then the support asked me if I have the 2.0 wallet version because they only support this one. As I replied that I have the 0.6.4, they finally replied that they cannot perform the transaction.
As a retex (return of experience), I confirm that Grin web wallet is the best way to transfer the Grin out of the exchange (Bitforex) in a first step, before sending then to Grinplusplus
Grin++ 0.6.4 is completely compatible with grin-wallet 2.0. Your exchange is just uninformed (most are). I would encourage restarting the Grin++ wallet before trying to withdraw again, since Bitforex clearly takes a long time.
Yes I guess so, because the 0.6.4 wallet is latest version.
This time I have decided to use My Grin web wallet as a first Gateway to get them out of the exchange and because I have already made the test to send them on Grinplusplus by this way.
It is the fastest way I have found so far to get them out of Bitforex (even if you have to pay 2 withdrawal fees, one for Bitforex and one for My Grin web wallet).
Hi, could you please reply to my email that I have sent more than 1 week ago to the support ?
Thank you
Should put out a PSA to not use this site anymore. Have the same issue as above.
There is a PSA in whole of crypto space to not use any web wallet at all.
Fair enough. This wallet was working. Think the update killed it though.
Are you not able to restore your seed in a real wallet?
