Monkyyys market shitposting thread

There are no bots. It’s totally made up. It has nothing to do with the order book and actual trades are not listed.

Coiner is absolutely correct. Hotbit is literally a fictional text file. Bitmesh is the truest, reasonably liquid exchange going.

I would also expect Poloniex and Bittrex to be at least halfway-decent in the reality of their numbers. The volumes there don’t look artificial to me.

They are still 10 cents above price consistently and at first glance they are 80% of the market, in most situations the exchange with the highest volume is the ground truth or treated favorably by multi-exchange thought processes, so simplistic views could take a look at the price point and draw a line upward.

So I think the time table for finding the bottom may be very very long.

The fixed emission rate will have a significantly reduced downward pressure on prices soon enough. We are still only a couple months into a brand new coin and lots of fresh mintage is still flooding out there.

note to self- the 4 dollar price point lasted 16 days; wait at least 16 days before calling the bottom

At this early stage, the emission rate of the coin is less important than its wide mass adoption. We should enjoy this low price as long as it makes things easier to make it attractive to people to adopt it. The time for a bull run will come, but the longest time the coin will be stable, wider will be the adoption and the hodling of Grin, in my opinion.

Anyone want to make a preemptively case for 2$ grin being the bottom?

$0.86 final answer…

60 cents will be the low, patience

I think 1$ for a year is a very very real possibility; round number insanity is very very strong. and low coin count is still a thing and while the average user should never ever ever buy at 1$ if its going to stay a dollar from loss coin risks and other such things, that doesn’t apply to everyone, some people know what they are doing, and more impotently know they know what they are doing.

Lets see how fast the market falls to that point and what things look like before quoting me, but flat dollar is on he table in my mind. Lets say three things happen, obelisk proves itself to be competent or some other reason to believe asics will be a healthyish market, grin/beam breaks the fuck away form 4:1 point and the market takes 4 months to get to 1$; at this moment I think it could be the bottom if those conditions are meet.

Oh and all the devs say the ancap oath; but we all know thats happening within 4 months.

I come back and @Grin1’s pofile icon is drugs. This place is like Lord of The Flies.

It does not have to be ancap; it can just be good ideas.

I’ve been working on a Food Computer! It takes 11 months to eat your first harvest.
Hoping to sell some of my tomatoes for Grin? Very exciting, no? Mining Grin is the heat source for my micro ecosystem.

Can’t seem to find a way to price my tomatoes using cryptocurrency yet. Everything is high tech on the grow side so I demand high tech on the shopping cart options and logistics.

I want real time prices by weight and quality metrics plus a smart contract for the customer to set the date and time they want it picked from the plant and delivered, also, allowing them to see the full grow history of the food I’ve produced from my Food Computer. Snap peas are next.

Anyone part of that project who is cynical asshole who rips out the silly ideas to make designs that are dirt cheap?

For example, raspberrypi hooked up to a dozen cardboard boxes or a 5 gallon bucket

Monkyyy you’ve probably seen this (in answer to your market volume questions) https://www.cnbc.com/2019/03/22/majority-of-bitcoin-trading-is-a-hoax-new-study-finds.html

Would be far worse for altcoins obviously…

coin market cap really let themselves go; I was wondering why everyone knew coin gecko.

It’s open source anyone can make one, think it’s a great way to “grow” grin, sorry for the goofyballz: https://www.media.mit.edu/groups/open-agriculture-openag/overview/

dont know where to post this though but here seems fine -
all this natural Chinese interest is good and i like to go with the flow with things. should we start a Chinese marketing campaign or general effort? My friend moved to a busy Chinese city just recently for work to help on a certain project and he seems to have horrible CENSORSHIP due to the government. is it possible to bypass this CENSORSHIP for said grin “marketing campaign/effort” to raise awareness to a potentially very interested market?
-with social engineering? -physical posters? -activism? -propaganda?

I very not clear on what chinese politics actually is; but one of the ways ancap grew was translation of “important”(they managed to not pick important books in my opinion) books into Spanish and now ancap meetings tend to be in mexico of all places and those city state projects are often in south america for a reason; if you translated important crypto-anarchy sources into actually good Chinese you could probably get the same sort of outcomes.

@0xb100d hows that book going?
