This was the message, or parts there of from the major Anonymous donor to Grin. It was to enable the developers to work freely on Grin:
At the time of the donation, the code of conduct and spending guidelines were as they are now for the (Original Council) OC and later for the (Community Council) CC. It is not that no one should pay for listings for Grin, it is only not fitting with the intentions and ideals of the project and the received donation.
If people want to pay for listings, that is fine, it should however be with a separate fund since we do not want to compromise on the initial ideals set out when this beautiful project got started which led to this generous donation by this Anonymous donor for which we are all still very grateful
