I know this isn’t helpful, but for future reference, what caused you to do this combination of actions? What were you trying to achieve?

This is a good question. Is there no way to generate a payment proof with slatepacks?
Why did you cancel the transaction? TradeOgre told you to when you were talking with them?
- I saw the transaction in my wallet, but it was not confirmed by the network. 2. The exchange said that the funds were gone and processed by the blockchain. 3. we agreed that I would press cancel, in the hope that they would return to the balance of the exchange. But it didn’t happen.

Before we close this topic, one last note. In case you would use Grims function for adding accounts, note that when you restore from seed it only shows the default account (m/0/0). To find funds from another accounts, you have to first create a second account (m/0/1) in Grim wallet for your funds in that account to show up.

It would be good if it looked ahead for non-empty accounts when the first account is restored.

I do not understand what you mean, the numbers exactly add up to the shown balance. So what is the problem @Alice ?

it was a balance display bug. I’m still missing the first 46k grin transaction(
So who or what is at fault? Seems like some kind of bug report could be filed
I have already deleted my wallet…
What can be done to avoid this from happening in the future? There is probably some UX change that can stop it, right? I’m think of how we can guide users into the best practices
Since there is no wallet, no log files, no proof, there is no information on what potentially went wrong and as such nothing to improve
