My requestTL;DR
Term 2025 .This is a funding request for a full year period
Rate monthly /€1050.
My goal is to lay the groundwork for smoother decentralized decision-making and empower everyone to contribute even more. I believe that greater transparency and accountability will be crucial to ツ success.
With these tasks, the Grin Community will reach more potential contributers who don’t have the time or resources to stay informed on the latest Grin development.
I’m dedicated to making Grin more accessible, more transparent and i am open to taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
So far we couldnt manage but i will again press on that subject specifically. I believe everyone in our community can be part of building Grin’s future.
Any member can propose bounty ideas , how to make grin better and, next step is to get approval from CC members.
I’ll be your dedicated voice, bringing your ideas and concerns directly to the CC or OC. I will be transparent and pass community requests to the members and bring you the outcome of it. Think of me as your direct line
I support this request.
However, I do want to remind you that as groundkeeper and CC representative you have an example role to others in this community. With greater power comes greater responsibility.
Stay posive, polite and constructive.
Facilitate and greeze the wheels of the governance machinary, keep continuity, but do not try to force things or they might break.
Appart from that, cary on like you have done so far👍.
Is there an ongoing and active/funded Mwixnet task, or is it complete?
I fear that Mwixnet is close, but like so many improvements in the past, it could stall before it crosses the finish line. Also, is there no funded payjoin task? My understanding was that the community thought this was the most urgent thing.
No difference, it was divided because there was a pause after phase 2. They are both the same.
There is no funded tasks for Mwixnet, it is completed but still at *testing* phase by community. It is supposed to integrate in GUI wallet but after GRIM wallet released, there is discussion/debate about getting integrate it to Grim.
Well, i hope not.
No funded task for payjoin, it is a topic for focus. So we should be open to funding for development.
Like with everything grin, we just need capable and willing developers to work on it, the funding is there. And afterwards we need capable community members to test new features. We still need more testing for MWixnet and testing transaction contracts.
I understand that meetings are usually not skipped entirely, but they’re often extremely uneventful. Like just saying “reminding everyone to help test this”.
Having too many uneventful meetings can also be a cause for lack of participation. People start to think that it’s not very important.
So I think it’s at least worth considering doing 2 meetings a month or even 1 meeting a month just to lighten the workload a bit and try something different.
I thought it was weekly lol. I’m there at that time every week anyway
Anyway, just some feedback; take it as you will. Even at the current cadence, there often isn’t much to discuss. Don’t want to add more work for you needlessly.
@trab Well you are right that the workload regarding note-keeping and other administration is not much right now. Quite hard to predict though, it could change any time. For example when some in the community initiate “another drama” like has been done so often, the governance and admin load soars.
Quite sad though that we cannot even to manage biweekly meetings, even if just to share some thoughts informally.
We can and we do. If people don’t show up, it simply means they have nothing to add to the discussion and nothing new to report. This should be expected if the agenda is mundane.
Just so everyone in and outside the CC is aware, CC meetings are biweekly on Keybase and they are as useful as we make them.
Meaning the more people are there, the more people make suggestions for agenda topics, the more useful they are. Otherwise they indeed become rather fruitless. In case everyone finds biweekly meetings to frequent, we could also move to 1 meeting a month, but frankly I do not think the frequency matter much until we get more CC members to commit to these meetings, even if just for informal discussion.
