This was a good read! I agree with a lot of the points the author makes regarding why Bitcoin is different than “crypto”. I believe Grin is the only one I’ve seen that is technically superior than Bitcoin while preserving all the important properties. At least the ones I’m aware of and think are important.
I have noticed that philanthropic mining has entered the common thought as a potential solution for halving subsidy coins.
The idea itself is an acknowledgement of a problem.
