Bobo, ask your AI friend if it considers any unregulated exchange to be trustworthy?

It’s exaggerating a bit, from what I remember there was like one person talking about an inside job. From the looks of it, it wasn’t.
Use nonlogs at your own peril, as always.

Actually, from the looks of it, it was an inside job.

Ai is completely accurate in its assessment in my opinion.

Even this “new owner” story seems sus.

Don’t use at your own peril - just don’t use it at all.

Many have been complaining about withdrawals needing “approval” etc.

To be fair, I was able to get my grin out. So if you already have coins locked on the exchange, it might be worth the attempt to withdraw them.

AI does not assess. AI is a statistical model predicting the next word in a sentence based on the information you feed it. In other words, it just echo’s information we put on this forum.

I have some new secret information based on good authority that the perpetrator behind the NonLogs.io hack might have been the hacker Lord Voldemort.

AI is consistent, I’ll grant you that. But when it comes to Grin, where do you propose to trade it, if your going to do it over a CEX? There aren’t any regulated exchanges listing Grin as far as I’m aware.

Gate (kyc) and Nonlogs (non-kyc).

You’re right, there’s Gate, but they only make Grin available on a few territories (Russia, Switzerland, I think).

Among the unregulated there’s Cexswap.cc also.

Trading security requires centralized exchanges, but centralized exchanges that enforce real-name verification (KYC) render privacy coins no longer anonymous—this is a paradox. Exchanges that do not require real-name verification are insecure, which truly presents a difficult choice.
Additionally, I have observed that exchanges are enormously profitable; this is evident from the hefty fines they pay during the compliance process of regulated exchanges.

@eravsar Are you still working on this project?

@BOBO Atomic swap would allow non KYC on-ramping via Monero, although I am not sure how easy you can on-ramp to Monero itself nowadays.

Eravsar was the latest to work on one and I thought to remember I even have seen a demo in Telegram. Find here an overview of current Atomic sap efforts:

Maybe someone could make a web page that allows non kyc access to gate funds/exchange functionality through an account api? I think beam has done this.

@login Is there a Grin/BTC pair?

somebody posted this platform in wownero matrix room

yes i am. i have also implemented Monero<->Litecoin(MWEB) atomic swaps so there will be a nice way to acquire Grin and Monero by getting LTC from a regulated CEX and then swapping over Janus. since MWEB is also fungible, this provides a practical way to acquire Grin and Monero without paying a premium, since there is no “dirty coins”, which made most atomic swaps impractical.

i still have a lot to figure out, and i want to get this right, so i will need more time before an alpha release.
