Hi there, awesome project, I wanna help

Hi folks,

Long-time lurker, first time poster. I wanted to introduce myself, and just voice my support for the amazing project.

My name is Erik, I’ve been in the crypto space for a while now and worked at Coinbase from 2013 to 2018 as a support manager. I’m not a developer, but I’m a proficient writer and am pretty good with building FAQs and other documentation.

I’m also working with the folks over at blockcypher to try to help get some funding for Grincon US, mostly because I want to see if we can get closer to the security audit fundraising goal.

I also did a small twitter campaign to raise awareness for the security audit fund that has some minor success: https://twitter.com/Erikcason/status/1067525347099332608

Anyways, I’m really excited to see how active the project is, and I just wanna help out where I can.

Cool

There’s a lot of misconceptions about the project, esp how the crypto or tx work as I mentioned here. It’s tough though because there’s multiple FAQ sections in the docs. If you wanted to update the Docs and FAQs on the Grin wiki that would be great! Here’s the contribution guides I know of:

If it’s helpful I’ve also started collecting stuff that seems relevant to FAQ type things here (btw the book updates often so sorry in advance if the link gets broken).

I’m not a developer,Nor a writer
I also wanted to writ some document to promote Grin, some about my awareness and insights about Grin Coin and cryptocurrence. But I also have a problem, which is that I don’t easily use X, Medium and reddit.I can’t find a place to post
maybe I should at this forum and then encouraged Griner to reprint and disseminate it

我也想写一个文件来宣传grin,一些关于我对grin coin的认识和见解。但我也有一个问题,就是文件发表渠道,我不容易使用X,Medium和reddit.我找不到地方发表

Your enthusiasm is really helping Grin in big Chinese community.

I think its important to bring local communities, international cooperation is important, fort example we can post news at all languages at different channels to find its audience.

In fact, there are many people in the Chinese community, and in 2019, the Chinese Grin community was very lively.Chinese people are not good at English, so they rarely come to this forum.

  1. It would also be good if this site had a Chinese section.2. If there is a need for code collaboration, I am also willing to translate and publish to the Chinese programmer platform, but I really don’t know much about software engineering.

Forgejo is good example, it has a lot languages and sets it based on system settings:

To translate you can take English translation file locales/en.yml from GUI repo, it has TOML format, you can just replace values, please do not change text in %{}, after this you can just upload it here or make PR on Github. Thank you for help!
