I wrote a tutorial how to setup grin-wallet in few steps.
Cli is fantastic and very easy to use. Sadly fewer and fewer of the younger generations ever open the black box these days.
You don’t need the -h flag when recovering a wallet. The command is simply ‘grin-wallet init -r’. Also, why do you suggest to use a remote node and API instead of hosting your own? You should mention and link to the grin-server software and say to only use 3rd party if you can’t run it yourself.
I like the effort, but feel like this guide needs a re-write to create a more secure environment.
Edit: also feel free to mention https://mainnet.grinminer.net as a publicly available API to use, it’s US based and a backup for the 2 you listed and also might be faster for some.
I wrote it for non tech savy people and described the steps for as easy as possible on-boarding. For those who are constantly asking help in telegram how to switch from Grin++ to any other workable wallet.
Those who are curious can investigate other nuances on their own.
Good points. I just think it should be mentioned at least.
I have been using grin commands for years until GRIM came out
