A link to the first mention of an attack that currently makes more than two participants in a contract unsafe. I think it is time ponder about possible solutions or mitigationd to this issue:

Unfortunately, there is an attack possible [1] (confirmed by tromp) when we have 3 or more parties and we’d need some extra work to protect against these. It may be best to start off with only having support for 2 parties and extend beyond this later on - I think protecting against this attack would require a slightly bigger change which might be best done separately. I will put some thought into this if I think a solution might be found with my limited understanding. If there are more willing, we can make a separate discussion topic on the forum or just on Github.
