How ASIC miners will change the reward?

Hey guys,
I am just curious about what will happen when ASIC miners like GRN1 or Innosilicon will be released.
How significant will they change this mining game?
Will they kill our simple mining rigs?
What will be the estimate reward comparing to these days.

The rule of thumb is 1000:1, I mean you could wait for real world tests and someone spreadsheeting a complex agrument but really asics just kill gpus just as gpus kill cpus; control logic is just expensive.
