@Whataloser, a user on gitter, noticed that Home · mimblewimble/grin Wiki · GitHub also contains a link to the scammy website. If someone knows how to make a search if possible and eliminate all those junk references 
(“Website” in the Contributing section)

Thanks for reporting, this is now fixed. 
For future reference, the wikis are directly editable by anyone (by clicking Edit button in the upper right hand corner). So if you see something that needs improvement, you have the ability to do so immediately.

To my understanding that domain never had any relevance for the project and at some point was just shilling the project to boost the price.

Incorrect, it was the original domain and control of it lapsed. Afaik, nobody has control of grin.mw except a nym who hasn’t responded for years
