很高兴看到Grin社区论坛投票结果及抽奖已经由Gary公示。

星途协议基于智能合约的Grin中文征名有奖投票问卷也正在倒计时结束中（将于4月1日0点GMT+8结束）。感谢Gary的支持，感谢链闻、星球日报、区块律动、金色财经、火星财经等数十家行业媒体的联合推广，目前已获得超过400票的参与（可查看链上合约提交记录）。

截止到3月28日凌晨，星途问卷的前三名分别是：

  1. 古灵币 34%
  2. 微笑币 21%
  3. 格林币 12%

与社区论坛投票结果前三名排序结果一致，看来古灵币是众望所归 :grinning:

社区也通过星途问卷提议了一些有创意的新名字，这里摘选几个：

  • 赤币。Grin是露齿地笑，齿和赤谐音嘛。第二个，一说中国赤壁就容易使人联想到气势恢宏的赤壁之战，暗指Grin币来头大、日后大有前程，前程似锦。
  • 吉麟-吉祥的麒麟，麒麟是中华神兽，中文名带点文化色彩更好！
  • 迷雾币 logo中有“M”“W”“C”三个字母，并且grin本身就是为匿名而生，所以我建议叫迷雾币。

在星途问卷投票结束前的最后几天内，我们还将继续联合多家媒体宣传这次有奖征名活动，鼓励大家参与共建Grin社区。并将在投票结束时，发布星途问卷Grin征名最终的统计数据以及中奖结果。

很荣幸“古灵币”能作为正式的中文名称。我想社区里很多朋友应该也能想到这个名字，我只是比较幸运的先提了出来。:grinning:
如果可以的话，能否劳驾gary把500枚Grin的奖金以我（Liu Jie）的名义捐给 Grin general funding 以继续支持Grin的发展。多谢！

Sorry to revive this ancient thread, but what was the name that was settled on?

I assumed that we would want a name that:

  1. Pronounces the name “grin” in a similar way to how it sounds in English.
  2. Has an acceptable meaning

Just using chat GPT, I found: 格仁 . This would sound out “ge ren” and also mean something like “standard of benevolence” or “pattern of kindness” (I think?) which also goes along with the English name Grin as a smile.

" 古灵币" meanings:

  • Grin name comes from Gringotts™ Bank of Harry Potter, which had an existing Chinese translation as 古灵阁巫师银行 , and its first 2 words are “古灵”
  • “ 古灵 ” is Grin 's similar pronunciation in Chinese
  • " 灵 ” also means “nimble”, which is exact one the major advantages of Grin / MimbleWimble

I wonder if there are still many Chinese community members active on the forum. In any case, its a great name as far as I can understand. I also really like the word nimble to describe Grin since nimble encapsulates words like fair, minimal, elegant, quick, light-weight, .
