Sorry to revive this ancient thread, but what was the name that was settled on?
I assumed that we would want a name that:
Pronounces the name “grin” in a similar way to how it sounds in English.
Has an acceptable meaning
Just using chat GPT, I found: 格仁 . This would sound out “ge ren” and also mean something like “standard of benevolence” or “pattern of kindness” (I think?) which also goes along with the English name Grin as a smile.
“ 古灵 ” is Grin 's similar pronunciation in Chinese
" 灵 ” also means “nimble”, which is exact one the major advantages of Grin / MimbleWimble
I wonder if there are still many Chinese community members active on the forum. In any case, its a great name as far as I can understand. I also really like the word nimble to describe Grin since nimble encapsulates words like fair, minimal, elegant, quick, light-weight, .
