So, in general: there has been a depressing lack of seriousness among the Altcoins. A handful – Ethereum, Monero, Namecoin, zCash – have an actual vision for the world. The rest are just get-rich-quick schemes, or hobbyist projects.
Ethereum and zCash were both get-rich schemes, with large premines making their founders very rich. Monero had no premine but had 40% of emission in the first year with a purposely broken PoW implementation left unoptimized for months.
They fail to mention Grin, the only project that didn’t, and in fact couldn’t, make its founders (or early adopters) rich.
