Bminer 15.7.6 Fix Cuckaroo29d on RTX-series cards

  1. Was geforce gtx 1060 (6Gb) and gtx 1080 (8Gb) - all worked (no errors in mining).
  2. Removed gtx 1060 and replaced with gtx 1080 ti (11Gb) - OS saw only 1080 and it’s worked (no errors in mining);
  3. Installed driver for 1080 ti - OS sees both but both cards not mining - error:

anyone else having issues with nvidia’s 436.30 driver?

miner dies with an error at: c:\windows\system32\nvapi64.dll

yes, same here. as soon as I upgraded drivers, Bminer stopped.

is there anything we can do @realbminer? thanks

same error on version 15.8.7

since this comment is 28 days old, I’d like to know if you ever solved it @papadakn

Unfortunately not, the issue remains

Same problem here on Win 10 64 bit with 2x GTX 1070’s. Trying to use older drivers in the meantime. 430.39 works so roll back.

436.48, Win10, 15.8.7. The same problem:

CudaError: Unknown error: c:\windows\system32\nvapi64.dll

I got a slightly different error as soon as I try to start the miner:

CudaError: Unknown error: c:\windows\system32\mscms.dll

436.15, Win7, 15.8.7

I went through the trouble of downgrading to geforce 430.39 driver, but latest Bminer still throws the nscms.dll unknown error at me.

Tried to download new and larger nscms.dll in both 32 and 64 bit version but was unable to replace my existing ones.

Is Bminer to be consider a dead project now? Really sad development since Bminer had a few features Gminer still lacks :pensive:

You need to uninstall the Microsoft Visual C runtime libraries and the recommendent 2015 libraries and with 430.39 it works than! The never version of the runtime libraries is giving this problem in combination with newer nvidia drivers!

Thank you for that sugestion mderoo75. Can you be a little more precise regarding which exact version of the runtime libraries Bminer requires? I removed all runtime libraries and added them back one at a time, but the problem persists.

I am having a hard time understanding why realbminer does not address this problem. It used to work like a charm before, but now a bunch of people are having problems with different unclear error codes :pensive:

Whay bminer don’t work with C32?

@realbminer
Does Bminer work on AMD Radeon VII with Cuckaroo29Z? I see you have updated the miner for the new algo which is awesome. I am running ubuntu 20.04 and keep seeing this message.
“Undefined but requested solver: cuckaroo29z”
