Two Grin++ Feature Requests

Hi @david,

  1. For a future release I think it would be a great security feature to require a password to send any GRIN from the wallet.

Rationale:
I normally keep my wallet open to allow for incoming payments. If my PC gets compromised by a hacker they would be unhindered to drain my wallet. Forcing a password to be entered upon any send request minimizes the potential for this happening.
There are other wallets available that have this exact functionality, and rightly so.

  1. Allow atomic swaps to the main cryptos. I understand that wallet713 has this feature already, though I have not used it myself.

Rationale:
This reduces reliance on exchanges and makes everyone’s lives that much easier.

Reasonable request. I suggest adding an issue to Issues · GrinPlusPlus/GrinPlusPlus · GitHub to track this. If you don’t have a github account, just let me know, and I’ll add it.

Wallet713 does not actually have this yet. It was in progress, and by the looks of the repo, it’s close to being ready. But the last I heard the dev had paused development on it. Maybe some day I’ll pick up where he left off, but I have other higher priorities atm.
