All Grin desktop wallets download the whole blockchain. But they don’t let you choose where to install the wallet. So the whole blockchain tries to install on your main drive.
I don’t have room on my main drive. Therefore I can’t use Grin…
Same ideas, just pray for someone could improve this point.

This let’s you choose the install location!
I’d rather use grin-wallet with node in same place, we can put chain directory in current location with command:
grin server config
Probably Grin++ would be easier to compile for XP, but it has peering issues (at least for me).
