Is it safe to store seed file on the cloud if you have a strong password for it? and cloud service has 2FA?
Absolutely not. Store on paper or on a device not connected to the network
Thanks for the reply.
Even if it’s just the seed file not the recovery phrase, with the password protection it has?
You must personally control what belongs only to you. Do not trust any cloud storage. There are absolutely no guarantees of the security of your documents and files, regardless of the number of passwords
seed file=recovery phrase - it’s the same thing if I understand you correctly
I don’t know what encryption Grin-wallet uses for its seed file, but if we assume that it’s strong it should be safe to store it on the cloud.
There’s no harm in manually encrypting it once more yourself, or course.
