due to the pruning of spent outputs, grin cannot enable smart contracts through the use of scripts.
But grin support scriptless script, which is a set of constructions that allow to make a few smart contracts withoout using scripting like in bitcoin, like lightning network or atomic swaps, which are very nice smart contracts and one of the rare useful ones
