There are settings in the grin node config .grin/main/grin-server.toml under the ### STRATUM MINING SERVER CONFIGURATION ###
section, you need to run grin-wallet listen on the same device, you can also set solution attempt time there and your ip addresses.

Okay thank you very much! So all types of grin mining software can connect via stratum.
As far as I can tell yea, I dont know of any proof of work solution that does not use stratum tbh
