Login issue through Nicehash

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this topic, but there´s an issue I run into when I try solo-mining Grin through nicehash, using the default stratum server.

When I test my pool on nicehash, I get the following message:

Pool host: ...
Pool port: 8516
Pool user: henkvandam
Pool pass: x
Algorithm: GrinCuckaroo29

Resolving pool host ...… OK
Establishing connection with proxy… OK
Establishing connection with pool ...:8516… Error: null
Your pool is shown as incompatible therefore we encourage you to contact pool operator to make sure that the pool is using minimal/starting pool share difficulty which is compatible with our service (and thus compatible with today’s miners), please send them following link: https://www.nicehash.com/help/which-mining-pools-are-supported. Thank you!

Anyone have a clue what could be going wrong?

Hello,

first, never a good idea to share your username!

second, we need more info:

  • are you using a VPN…
  • Are you using a Router (that points that port to your device that is hosting the ‘proxy’)…
  • Did you try to connect externally to you IP address? (use something like: https://www.ipfingerprints.com/portscan.php)
  • (most importantly) do your miner SUPPORT nicehash? they have a slightly different stratum…
