Either way, Bitcoin had this issue with two different ways to pay on layer 1 and multiple ways to pay on layer 2. Synonym developed a solution called SlashPay that is built on Hyperdrive and a DHT.
This is of course ancillary to Bitcoin itself and just a third party solution that is baked into a wallet.
