It’s a noble idea and my farm would be ideal for hosting a few units as the renewable electric is covered regardless of usage, though I am brand new here and am still getting my toes wet so I wouldn’t feel right taking that on at the moment.

If no better solution is found by winter, I will have have tons of space and a rack opening up with my house renovations coming to a close after 2 years work. I could dedicate a 20A circuit strictly to mining and I have a 12,000 BTU rack cooler to keep the room temps reasonable.

I currently just run a single G1 mini but am making a purchase of 3 more next month so I’d have experience with maintaining a small fleet of them already also.

I agree. I’ve always liked that Monero crowdfund system. Ironically, Grin needs technology improvements in order to make a website like that possible.

a fundraising app. bare minimum is we need a way to give an app (1) a “view key” to a wallets contents and (2) an address for people to send grin to. that base level of accountability will let people see how close the wallet is to meeting its goal and if the person has withdrawn funds (ended the campaign)

I think the Community Council could make funding a web app like that a goal though

Monero probably has that sytem partly to show proof of reserve for bounties since the funds are in monero, not in BTC. The Community Council uses BTC as reserve, which is very easy to audit, just click the link to see all funds and all historic transactions. So there is no need for any additional tech, anyone can see we have the funds ready to pay any bounty or funding requests:

I do see we have no open bounties at the moment. If you have a desired function, service or add-on to Grin, please write it down with your motivation so it can be discussed on the forum and during CC meetings.
