以时间做发行单位,是一个伟大的想法,我非常赞同。最大的失望是社区决策层做了许多错误的事,社区应该要自我反省,而且要彻底的改革。
I understand that you and I may sometimes feel disheartened about the outcome of Grin. It can be challenging to navigate through such moments. As Sam Walton once said, “I had to pick myself up and get on with it, do it all over again, only even better this time.”
Life can indeed be unfair, and we encounter various obstacles along the way. Truett Cathy, for example, had to face the loss of his brother and continue his work, reading old transcripts he had written the day before. Similarly, Charlie Munger endured the heartbreaking experience of losing his son while also coping with his own eye problems, causing impaired vision and tears.
In the face of adversity, I find solace in something Charlie Munger said: “It’s easy to be a victim, it’s easy to feel victimized.” These words remind us that it is within our power to rise above the circumstances and avoid falling into a victim mentality.
Also I recommend anyone here read these books if you’re having fucked up day.
SHOE DOG by Phil knight
Made in America by Sam Walton
Only the paranoid survive by Andy grove
The Generosity factor by truett Cathy
All these people in these books become vulnerable.
That looks rather arbitrary. One way I interpret “fair” is as non-arbitrary. Yours is rather unfair in that way.
Anyway, I found this project that may be more to your liking: https://bitflate.org/bitflate.pdf
Hmmm, but no mimblewimble. Time for Grinflate
That is not arbitrary. The first ones always in the high riskiest. You know this very well. If you want your network to work, even if you don’t enrich these people, you have to protect them. There are no protect mechanism at the beginning and end of Grin.
This protection creates something more equitable. It’s not fair to run the network in knowing that these people will lose money. That’s why you give higher block rewards to the highest inflation. Makes more sense than the original Grin idea. You are quite aware of this.
Another group that is aware of the problem. Actually, I feel you are aware of it too, but for some reasons you cannot accept it. Maybe because the idea for 60 Grins a minute is yours, you may have an emotional connection with it.
@minexpert So question is: when fork? =)
I think some people here will help.
Will it be POS?
If they want actual protection from loss then the only way to guarantee that is if they don’t mine at all. If they really want to mine then the best protection is to sell immediately. That was always possible at the start since there were no asics and you could mine (and immediately sell) until it was profitable. When it became unprofitable you could have started mining something else. So since you’re complaining I’m guessing you weren’t doing that right? Did you hold the coins and hope their value would go up?
