# Test Miner Sponsorship by Ipollo 💛

As you are aware, the Grin blockchain will soon reach some significant milestones, including **[PIBD](https://github.com/yeastplume/grin-rfcs/blob/pibd_deployment/text/0022-pibd-deployment.md)** and **Grin-Gui Wallet**. As usual, we will need to do numerous tests for these, thus we must have more active test miners. This topic was also considered and decided upon at the most recent community meeting.

I talked to **iPollo** on behalf of the [Grin Community Council](https://grincc.mw/) about sponsoring a G1-Mini as a test miner. [Ipollo](https://ipollo.com/products/ipollo-g1-mini) generously accepted to donate us a **G1-Mini miner**. We will promote this **donation** via [Grinpost newsletter](https://grinpost.substack.com/), [twitter](https://twitter.com/MW_Grin), and other social channels.

The legitimate manufacturer of the only currently known to exist Grin Asic would be more accurate.

Shoutout to David and @Mattczt as well for simplifying the process of connecting to testnet! The testnet miner I received will be up and running in the next couple of days.

Same pool address, only difference is worker name.
