Simply put it adds another set of vectors for attacks like spam and denial of service.
GRIN itself should always remain simple with interactive transactions.

I agree that Grin at its core should always remain simpel, elegant and minimal. E.g. copy paste slatepack should always remain the main transaction method.
However, tools built on top of Grin can add/use whatever transport layer they want, e.g. Nostr.

Thankfully the “official Grin BBS tightly coupled to nodes” idea is dead.
