# F2pool with Grin++ not working?

I just started mining on f2pool with my g1 Mini for convenience, since I only needed to change the worker and user name in the settings. However, I now have 2 failed transactions while I use my Grin++ grin1 address for payments. Other pools like 2miners and Hero Mining Pool work fine with Grin++.  
Did anyone else encounter or solved this problem? They mention on their site something about only Linux official Grin wallets working with f2pool, which I find hard to understand since the protocol used should be the same and definitely should not be OS dependent.
